Department of Organization and Economy of the Veterinary

Department of Organization and Economy of the Veterinary was established in 1976, the Head of the Department is Professor I.N. Nikitin. At the department the following subjects are being taught: Organization and Economics of Veterinary, Veterinary Business, History of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Ethics, Law and Organization of the State Veterinary Supervision.

Basic research areas at the Department are: veterinary economics, veterinary planning activities; labor rate of veterinary experts, the development of regulations governing veterinary activities, organization of commercial veterinary practice, the organization of paid veterinary services, veterinary services organization of agricultural animals in agricultural enterprises, organization of small animals veterinary services, the organization of the state veterinary supervision.

The Kazan school of veterinary economists has been created, which representatives are working successfully in many regions of Russia and in Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria and Canada.
