Department of Zoohygiene

The Department of zoohygiene as an independent unit was formed at the Kazan Veterinary Institute in 1931. It is currently headed by Doctor of Veterinary Science, Honored Worker of Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, Professor Vladimir Georgievich Sofronov.

At the department the following subjects are taught: the basics of designing zoohygiene livestock facilities, agricultural meteorology, facilities and equipment for the agricultural products storage.

The main scientific research of the department is "The schemes development and study of the polyenzyme drugs effect on animals and birds."

Over the past 3 years the Department staff issued 14 guidelines, a workshop on zoohygiene, received two patents, and two kandidatskaya and two doctorskaya dissertations have been defended.
